Orange County Drug Rehab
An addiction to drugs or alcohol can completely take over a person’s life and strain all the relationships around them. Unfortunately, breaking free from substance abuse isn’t necessarily as easy as going “cold turkey.” In fact, trying to quit suddenly and completely can even be dangerous.
Thousands of men and women across the country have turned to professional addiction treatment programs for safe and effective rehab. At Yellowstone Recovery in Orange County, California, we help clients like these find lasting sobriety in a compassionate, soothing environment.
Our Beautiful Southern California Treatment Centers
One of the greatest natural benefits of rehab at Yellowstone Recovery is the incredible beauty and serenity of the southern California coast. With addiction treatment centers located in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach, we offer clients a truly relaxing experience surrounded by oceanside landscapes. Recovering from addiction isn’t easy, but, here at Yellowstone, rehab can literally be a day at the beach!
Our centers aren’t just located in a gorgeous area, they’re also close to John Wayne Airport, making it easy for out-of-state clients and their loved ones to find us on arrival. Plus, clients who are allowed to leave the facility for leisure time can enjoy all kinds of dining, shopping, and entertainment, as programs permit.
Drug and Alcohol Rehab Options
Every person’s experience with addiction is unique, which is why it’s so important for rehab to be individually focused rather than one-size-fits-all. At Yellowstone Recovery, we offer a variety of addiction treatment program types to suit a diverse range of clients. We also tailor each individual’s treatment plan to their specific needs for the most effective results.
The three main types of treatment we offer here at Yellowstone are residential, outpatient, and inpatient outpatient (IOP). Each one is best suited to a certain type of client; make sure you carefully consider all of the options to determine which is the best one for you. If you’re not sure, give us a call! Our friendly staff can help you find the right fit.
Detox Phase
Most individuals entering residential treatment at Yellowstone are still in the process of dealing with their addictions. To avoid withdrawal sickness, many find themselves using drugs or alcohol right up to the first day of treatment. Before the healing process can begin, these clients must first be free of their dependencies. To achieve this, the majority of residential clients first go through a professionally guided detox.
Clients in detox are monitored 24/7 by an experienced team of medical professionals to ensure the safest, most effective process. During this time, substances are withheld or tapered down to allow the body to purge the remaining drugs or alcohol from the clients’ bodies. If necessary, a client’s doctor may choose to prescribe temporary medications to soothe withdrawal symptoms and prevent dangerous reactions.
This initial detox period can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to complete, depending on how severe the addiction is and what methods are appropriate for use. In some cases, attempting to go through detox too quickly can be ineffective or even dangerous.
Residential (Inpatient) Treatment
After they have been completely detoxified, residential clients enter the primary phase of treatment. During this time, they are required to live on-site in facility housing separated by gender and may not leave the premises until they have shown enough progress to earn off-site travel privileges. All new residential clients must also go through a communication “blackout period,” during which they are not allowed to contact anyone outside of the facility.
While in treatment, residents keep a full schedule of 12-step meetings and group and individual counseling sessions led by certified addiction counselors. Under the supervision of Yellowstone staff, they work with the others in their residence to prepare family-style meals and handle household chores. This allows clients to build natural peer support systems, practice important life skills, and maintain a sense of normalcy and personal agency.
Much like detox, the duration of a person’s stay in residential treatment varies. Rather than having a strict timeline, residential treatment is considered complete when the client has made sufficient progress in their program. As such, treatment may last anywhere from 90 days to several years.
Outpatient Treatment
Individuals who have already gone through residential treatment may choose to continue rehab in an outpatient recovery program. Unlike residential treatment, outpatient treatment gives clients the freedom to live off-site—usually at home with family or in a sober living facility. The flexibility of outpatient treatment also allows clients to maintain regular jobs and meet normal responsibilities.
Because clients in outpatient programs don’t have as intense a risk of relapse as residential clients do, they typically have more freedom during treatment. Fewer 12-step meetings and counseling sessions are required for compliance, though individuals are welcome to attend as often as they feel is necessary.
Outpatient program clients are also allowed to set their own schedules, making appointments for counseling and attending meetings when they are able. This makes it possible to fit treatment around any almost work schedule. The duration of outpatient treatment also tends to be shorter than that of residential programs, lasting from several weeks to a few months.
IOP – Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Intensive outpatient programs are much like standard outpatient programs, but they are not restricted to clients who have recently completed residential treatment. Instead, IOP programs are open to anyone who has already gone through detox or whose addiction is not severe enough to require it.
IOP treatment offers even more flexibility than outpatient treatment and has the fewest restrictions, but clients are still expected to follow certain rules and attend a set number of 12-step meetings and counseling sessions per week to maintain compliance.
Intensive outpatient programs have the shortest duration, largely because they follow an accelerated schedule. Because they are relatively quick to complete, IOP programs are perfect for individuals who have been in recovery but feel like they are struggling and need the extra structure and support of a professionally guided program.
Sober Living Homes
Clients who have finished their programs or who do not have safe places to stay during outpatient treatment may be eligible for housing in one of our Newport Beach sober living homes. Sober living homes are safe, secure, gender-specific residences occupied only by individuals in recovery. To protect residents from the risk of relapse, drugs and alcohol are not allowed in sober living.
By living with like-minded individuals on their own recovery journeys, sober living residents are able to avoid temptation and seek friendly support while they slowly transition back into normal life. Returning to work, dealing with complicated relationships, and handing daily responsibilities after treatment can bring anxiety, but the safety and camaraderie of sober living can help ease the stress and keep residents on the sober path.
Affordable Drug Rehab with Convenient Financing
Getting professional help for a drug or alcohol addiction is an investment, both personally and financially. Sadly, many people struggling with dependencies believe that they are unable to seek help simply because they cannot afford it. At Yellowstone Recovery, we aim to show addicted individuals and their loved ones that the perceived cost of rehab doesn’t have to be a roadblock anymore.
First, your insurance policy may cover some of your treatment costs. For anything that is not covered, we can offer you a financing plan that makes it possible to make affordable payments over time. If you’re not sure whether you can afford treatment, don’t assume the worst—give us a call. Our friendly staff can verify your insurance eligibility and walk you through all of your options to determine the best plan for you.
